Raised in a military family, Jeff’s love of nature was nurtured at an early age. Frequently moving from state to state provided a constant diversity of wildlife and natural surrounding. Unlike the distractions of modern day gadgets, the long road trips as a child were a constant source of entertainment and inspiration. In the early 60s, the Davis family relocated to Fairbanks, Alaska from Kansas. The 2 week road trip in a ‘53 Chevy station wagon was a journey of epic proportion. As a wide-eyed little boy in the back seat, consumed every mile of deserts, mountains, and wildlife - the images forever etched. By middle school, the discovery of art found fertile ground. A self-taught artist and lover of nature has spurred Jeff’s unwavering pursuit of perfection in wildlife painting, and sculpting.
